The Buildings and Public Areas Sub-committee of the Urban Environment Committee is responsible for the City’s decision-making concerning premises, facility projects, street management, and the construction and maintenance of public areas.

The Helsinki City Council appoints the Sub-committee’s members, deputies, Chair and Vice Chair.

The Buildings and Public Areas Sub-committee of the Urban Environment Committee has nine members.  Each member has a personal deputy member.
