Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Committee is responsible for making the most important decisions of the Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Division.
The City Council appoints the members and deputies of the Committee for the City Council’s period of office. The City Council also appoints a Vice Chair for the Committee from among the Committee’s actual members. At least one Committee member and their deputy must be from the Swedish-speaking language group.
The Committee has 13 members. Each member has a personal deputy member. The Committee is chaired by the Deputy Mayor for Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services.
